7:00 am Saturday -- Ring Ring Ring.... goes the telephone.... Gooood Morning Bhaiiii wishing you a very happy bday... (me) - Behna its 7:00 am and I am still sleeping... and my bday is day after.. how did you forget... (Behna) - giggle... tu abhi tak so raha hain... wake up... I thought it was your hindu calender bday today... (me) - no behna... thats on Tuesday... (behna) - ok then sleep further
7:00 am Sunday Morning -- Ring Ring Ring ... goes the telephone once more ... goooodd morning bhai... wishing you a very happy bday... (me) - rubbing my eyes... behna... mera bday kal hain... but love you for all your care... (Behna) - giggle once more... aaj phir se uthaya tujhe neend se.... to phir uth.. Sunday ke din koi soota hain... wake up and get ready... (me) - I am one of the most priveledged brother to get a wake up call from behna every morning... .... .... .... .... and the conversation went on
10:00 pm Sunday evening -- Ring Ring Ring... kidhar ho tum... (me) am at my old home just finished painting... (betu) - waiting for you... kya matlab hain... (me) coming in 15 minutes...
10:15 om Sunday evening - hiiiiiiiii... kaise ho... how r u sankhla... bas theekh... lets go up and see the modifications in my new home... I built up a few things yestarday...
10:55 kuch khana order kare bhookh lagi hain... betu and sankhla nodding in affirmativity... ordered the regular fried rice from Jasmine Aunty... the Aunty came herself to deliver... I wondered how she got my adress right in the first time...
betu - gift laye hain tere liyee.. guess what it is.... without touching it....
me - koi idea nahi... may be jhoonu ka bhai or so....
betu - nahi nahi... tumhne to jhoonu ki kya haal bana rakha hain...
11:55 pm cake with candles brought down to the table... candles set and the clock is awaited to tick 12:00 and the cukoo clock to sing...
There it was finally.... 27 years since I saw light on the planet...27.... its like cube of 3.. 3 times 3 times 3... oh my god... am I old...
I finally opened my much awaited gift... wonderful paintings.... directly put them onto the wall of my new home... it brought richer ambience to the room...
Thats how I turned 27 from 26... but these few days into my 26 and then finally entering 27 made me realize a few things... Some thing which I need to do in the next part of my life.... which I used to but my work and other priorities almost called me to neglecting it...
- so much of love and affection.... do I give even a little back... I asked myself this question... and the answer was a big no...
- do I deserve the love and affection - again a big no
- is something wrong - yes yes yes....
what is wrong.... I seem to be involved with the general crowd while neglecting the ones who I loved the most and who have great affection for me...
My journey into 27 is going to be a very crucial part of finding myself and separating itself from the generalisim.... and focussing and spending time with people and things whose opinion matters to me...
I dont know why I lost it in the last few months...
I realise one thing... the people who I love and who have affection towards me are the ones for whom I am... they are all the reasons I am...
I love you all.... mom... dad... chimpu... behna.. betu.. sweetu... sankhla ... Angel...
Happy Birthday to you Motu...

Marraige - is it really a game???
Excerpts from a dialogue
M: Hey... hello... I am gonna get married...
A: Not possible... what are you telling... just not possible... when... how why... you were waiting for someone...
M: Doesnt matter the wait is over... I cannot wait anymore.. The person sitting in P is least bothered about me.... I thought of moving ahead...
A: You just cannot just give up simply like that
M: Yes yes I have.... I need to get married before some month of this year... Its important... beacuse my priest told me to do so...
A: This is not possible... you have waited so long... Just give it some time... did you inform the concerned....
M: No I didnt... The new one is landing on Saturday... It happened all of a sudden...
A: Tell me more... how and why... who is it...
M: Coming to South of the country on friday... for six months... We can celebrate on saturday... I have spent quite a lot of tear... so decided to move on...
A: The person concerned should know about it....
M: No no.... but you should have understood it.... I have been trying to communicate it since long... very long... and you just dont understand
A: I understand a lot of things but for such things I may be a bit immature to understand
M: Ya ya... I dont believe that you didnt understand when every one else understood it... No dont spoil my mood... I have come over it... Hang up now.... I am not feeling like talking....
A: Ok Bye!!!!!!!
Multiple... Messages...
M: Was a joke.... I still am for the person in P....
Well marriage... I thought it was the holy and divine bond of love which comes on after having done a lot of good things... But some people consider it as just another game... what is surprising... it is those people... who are deep in love and talk of sacrifice for the partner and who wait for years... to hear a simple three letter word from the loved one.... they chuck it all for some fun....
I write this while listening to Total eclispe of my heart by bonnie tyler in French... some how I dont know why but the lyrics fit to what M had to say...
but the surprising thing is that M was making fun of the situation... while A listened with all restlessness to his disbelief... prayers seemed to be going unanswered...

Family away from Home - The ITAians
This is something which is complicated but I have been trying to live with it.... Rather enjoying it and feeling priviledged.
Roughly two years back... a youngster with the Indian dream and anxiety took off of the Mumbai airport in all hope of bringing his family glory and pride. Well he is on his way with the odd hurdle or two put the path stays constant.. What keeps him going on.... Ever heard the phrase... home away from home... well I have modified it a bit... I call it family away from home...
This family has it alll.... It has the Gransmas with their advice on day to day phenomenon... A mentor who teaches you how to tick in every situation and a group of wonderful friends... who are simply priceless... I dont have anyone other than them who are so close to me in this foreign land... the kleine Inder as I am often called has fun with all the Siblings... if I may call them so...
There are all kinds of moments... the ones where your friends cry, where you cry, where you all laugh together, where you team up and do a task... where you listen to each other... where you have fun and enjoy together, where you are comfortable with the existance of fiancees and spouses of your friends... It just something which is unmatched... I could go on and on but I will just pick up one after the other randomly and talk about him or her....
I start of with a couple who are close to me... in my professional working group but also very close to be for many different things... Lets start with the ladies first... Her Royal Highness.... what can I say about her... well... let me try framing it... I hope that my wife doesnt get jealous reading this and nor her fiancee with whom she forms a wonderful couple... (touch wood!!!)... Well I have met a lot of people around in this foreign land... but such a beautiful and unconditional soul I have never seen... and since she is so immaculate she wins my ultimate tolerance level... started as a student assistant with me when I came to know her for the first time... until today... a good friend... someone whom I could speak to about anything and to whom I look up for advice... a perfectionist, a guide and a blissful soul.... One attribute which I learn from her is discipline in life.... and also life as such... Living Life!!!! We give each other our space as this is something which should always exist but help each other in times of needs.... Someone I respect... Her Fiancee...a brilliant soul too... I just wish and pray that they go along to spend a happy married life ever after...
Next comes the guy who never shown me the Blue Mosque in Turkey.... :) Has a family... a lovely little daughter and is also a good friend... He is one whom I could give the term "yaar" from the hindi dictionary... We share a lot of skills in profession and also in life... although I really dont know if I will be able to knock him down in a wrestling match... May be Badminton is where I can definately triump.... This country where I am, is known for its coldness between people but he is the one who brings in the warmth... something which I have learnt from him and will always keep learning... face conflicts and problems head on and find solutions to them....
I could write pages and pages on... and there is so much which I cannot really put in words... Let me jot it down in brief....
The bright light is the wake up sign... a new day, a new beginning, new people and a new place... thats what the soul said on an early november morning 2 years ago...
The bright light... a new day... a new beginning... and home.... another day with the members who share your concerns and who giggle with you and bring you to order and also who listen to you....
